Build Your Own Website
If you really get the bug, you can create your own website. Better yet, have someone do it for you! The websites we discussed earlier are usually all you would ever need, but having your own site for your property allows you to convey so much more to the person or family looking to rent. The rental websites are great and allow you to add as many as 12-16 photos with lengthy descriptions of the property and surrounding areas. But if you use them WITH your own site, you can really increase your odds of someone choosing your home instead of another. You can add as many pictures as you like, upload a video tour of the property, and let them know everything there is to do in your area while they are on vacation. If you are trying to get someone to move into your home a year at a time, you can list all of the schools, restaurants, movie theaters, local sports and entertainment; the possibilities are endless. You site would become a mini “travel guide” that helps “close the deal” before they move on to another property.
